Firstly, i hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year. I hope Santa brought you everything you asked for, and that most of you who were probably on the naughty list got at least a little something. :)

I must apologize for my absence from the blog over the past few months, many excuses, but i wonlt bore you with them. Luckily Maddy has kept me informed with all the crafty goings on so i know what you've all been up to. (Yes even that!) :)
.
We had a great deal of snow and ice here, we weren't as bad as most places in the UK, but it did make for a few lovely pictures.....heres one from my village....

Rotty is nowhere to be seen at the moment, there are a few rumours circulating the sewers regarding his whereabouts.....none of them great i'm afraid. One said that he was staying at Maddy's house, another was that he'd left there and was involved in the "catering business" down in the underground sewers of London again.....something that worries me slightly after reading this article recently...

Rotty's house is nearing some kind of completion, the paint job on the exterior didn't quite go to plan so i will be working on that in my spare time. So don't fret....Rotty will get his house soon!

Other than that, i look forward to getting back into the swing of things with the crafting and getting around all your blogs. I hope you are all well and are enjoying your crafting, wishing you all a great 2011.

Oh yeah, i have a couple of resoloutions, some of the normal ones, some a bit different, but the main one is to keep in touch with friends more often. I love writing, and there is nothing better than a handwritten letter through the door......one without text talk too! So if you get a letter with a wax seal on the back...it may just be from me. :)

Oh yes, one final thing.....i would like to give a big shout out to the numerous spammers that have graced my blog whilst i've been away. I always enjoy reading my friends and followers comments, but nothing gets me all warm and fuzzy like a whole host of random spam posts linking people to sex sites and the likes.
.
So to any spammers out there, one day i hope we'll meet.....i promise i'll give you a personal up-close tutorial on another use for a pokey tool!!!

CALVIN MOUSE!!!

There is something afoot in my house....and i have an inkling as to who is responsible!!!

Today i was clearing out my outside shed. I moved a pile of wood, behind which was a heating pipe with lagging around it. However it would appear that i have had a tiny visitor over the recent cold weather spell.....



My first thought was "How cool is that!". A little mouse has obviously set up home next to a warm pipe in my shed. I had to take a piccy as it is the sort of house my girls would make over the forest for the fairies. So what has this got to do with Calvin Mouse you may ask?

Take a look at the door or window blinds that the mouse has made....he's obviously a paper crafter!!! I can't for the life of me figure out where he got the paper from, i might have left a bag of shredded paper in the shed, the paper looks quite neatly torn into strips doesn't it?

Surely a mouse can't nibble that neatly? This is exactly how i found the nest by the way, it hasn't been touched by me at all......



So i reckon i have stumbled upon a certain helper of Maddy's, which now leads me to wonder what he's doing down here!?

He could be on some covert reconnaissance mission, i have had some pretty cool crafty stash arrived recently, maybe he's after that?

Actually, Maddy said the other night that one of her Copic's had run out, I'm telling you now people.....if Calvin Mouse has been sent down here on a mission to snatch a Copic......you'll be seeing the first use of a Copic and a mouse to make a washing up brush! I'm sure i don't have to tell you where the Copic will be inserted to act as the handle!!!

I know we made friends after that inking episode, but i have to be on my guard with Maddy, she's a sly old fox that one! :)

Right then! Times up!!!

So then Calvin Mouse! I went easy on you earlier due to Maddy waking up, and i gave you a day to get my stamp back....so why do i find myself sat here without a certain Sugar Nellie stamp?

Not good my furry little friend.....not good at all!

I mean we are mates and all that Calvin Mouse, but a stamp is a stamp and I'm sure any crafter would feel the same. In fact I've seen crafters do terrible things over missing stash, you should see Maddy when her fave ribbon is missing!!! I'm still having therapy from when i accidentally used her new 12 x 12's for wiping up glue!

So I'm sorry Calvin but.....

The alcohol ink it is then!!!

Sorry Calvin Mouse but you brought this on yourself. Assisting a known stamp thief is a crafty crime beyond belief, and one that must be dealt with swiftly, and colourfully

So then, we've started with the Stream blue ink....do you want to divulge any info yet? Or do i have to go for the.....CRANBERRY!!!

OK, we're playing hard guy are we? Right then......oh hang on....postman is at the door.....

Ah.....um......well......um........well......thing is.......it's a funny story actually.......you see......in fact you really wouldn't believe it......the postmen has just brought me a parcel.

On the front of the envelope is some writing which says, "Sorry about the delay, got lost at the sorting office".

I've just opened it....and you'll never believe this.....um.....how do i say this....ummm....this was inside.....

It would appear that Maddy sent it a while back and it got lost in our wonderful postal system!

I am so sorry Calvin Mouse! I should have known you wouldn't have helped out in such a terrible crime when you have such an honest and lovable name as you do. I feel really bad,i really do.

Tell you what, so there are no hard feelings, I'll do this for you. Firstly I'll give Maddy my brand new bottle of blending solution to get you cleaned up. Secondly, it's really bad weather up here and i need to get back to collect my girls from school tomorrow. If i stay, the snow will not let me travel, so as a gesture of friendship, from one man to another......you can have my Grease night ticket so you can go with Maddy!!!

Oh yes my groovy little rodent friend.....yourself......and the leather jacket and medallion WILL GO TO THE BALL!!!

We are going to be here until i find out where you and Maddy have put my Sugar Nellie stamp! I know it's in the craft room somewhere, and as you spend most of your time here......i guess you are the next best person to ask!

So whats it going to be? The tweezers or maybe a pokey tool somewhere eh? Oh yes my furry little friend, no-one pinches my stamp and gets away with it!

The balls in your court now Calvin Mouse!!! It's my Sugar Nellie stamp back in my craft bag by tomorrow night....or i'll be back for a chat without cheese and biscuits!
